Glen Scott

Grammy-nominated, multi-award-winning producer, arranger, mix engineer, artist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Glen Scott stands as one of Britain’s most versatile and sought-after musical talents.
Born Glenvin Anthony Scott to Jamaican immigrant parents—his father a reverend, his mother a teacher—Scott’s musical journey began in the vibrant heart of North London. Immersed in the soulful sounds of his father’s church, he was playing both Hammond organ and drums by the age of eleven, laying the foundation for a lifelong devotion to music.
By sixteen, Scott was already touring internationally and recording with Dr. Robert of the pioneering pop-rock band The Blow Monkeys, marking the start of a prolific career as a session musician. His prodigious talent quickly made him a fixture in London’s studio scene, celebrated for his remarkable versatility across genres.
At twenty-one, Scott’s songwriting and artist career took flight when he signed his first publishing deal with MCA Publishing. A year later, he forged a creative partnership with Swedish producer and songwriter Martin Terefe, a collaboration that would shape much of his future output. In 1997, Scott signed with Sony Music 550/Records in New York City, releasing his acclaimed debut album, Without Vertigo, in 1999.
Scott’s artistry as a solo artist is further showcased in his own releases, including the albums and EPs Do Something, Soulrider (2009), and Trust the Dawn (2011, Sony Music International). Recent singles such as "So Divine" and "Follow Her Gold" (Repute Records) continue to highlight his signature blend of masterful songwriting, soulful musicianship, and genre-defying creativity, earning critical acclaim and a devoted international following.
Across decades, Glen Scott has amassed an extraordinary list of credits, collaborating with a constellation of global stars including James Morrison, Mary J. Blige, Eric Bibb, Ricardo Arjona, James Blunt, Craig David, Beverley Knight, Shawn Mendes, Backstreet Boys, Ron Sexsmith, and many more. His work spans pop, soul, blues, R&B, and beyond, earning him a reputation as a creative force both behind the scenes and on stage.
A consummate collaborator and visionary, Glen Scott continues to shape the sound of contemporary music through his own label, Repute Records—whether crafting hits for chart-topping artists, lending his artistry to new projects, or inspiring the next generation from behind the studio glass. His journey from the pews of a North London church to the world’s most prestigious studios is a testament to talent, dedication, and the enduring power of music.
