Video Premiere: Eric Bibb “This One Don’t”
Rock & Blues Muse is pleased to exclusively premiere Eric Bibb’s new video ‘This One Don’t”, from the three-time Grammy Award nominee’s forthcoming album ‘One Mississippi’ out January 30, 2026 via Repute Records.
With a delightful groove, “This One Don’t” by blues legend Eric Bibb shows us how easily music and dance dilute conflict and strife. The video depicts real people dancing and having a good time. Bibb sings “Some songs have complicated melodies. This one don’t.” It doesn’t have to be complex—this song gets you moving. It has a hypnotic vibe, something that dissolves worry, and steers you directly into feeling the joy of the music. It might be a simple melody as Bibb’s lyrics say, but the music certainly isn’t through the melodic harp and electric slide guitar vamps.
Where the album ‘One Mississippi’ is a call for peace, justice and unity in a divided world, the video and single “This One Don’t” shows us how peace and unity can so easily be had just by following Bibb’s lead. His gentle, calm vocal beckons everyone to move with the music and together. Music is a powerful healer.
Eric Bibb says, “This One Don’t’ is the first single we’ll drop from my upcoming album, One Mississippi. The song was inspired by a wonderful gig at a Blues Fever Festival in Vienna, where I played in front of a groovy crowd who love dancing to the Blues. Happily, we were able to include these folks in the video. Thanks to my ace producer, Glen Scott, and the superb musicians involved, this track is one of the funkiest I’ve ever recorded. As Alice Walker once said, ’Hard times require furious dancing.’”

“This One Don’t” features Bibb on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Robbie Mcintosh on electric side guitars, Greger Andersson on harp, Glen Scott on drums, percussion, bass, Hammond, electric guitars, clavinet, and Sara Bergkvist Scott and Shaneeka Simon on backing vocals.
The album also features legendary UK-based guitar virtuoso Robbie McIntosh (Paul Mc Cartney, The Pretenders, John Mayer), whose expressive playing and skill graces most of the album, adding depth, grit, and melodic commentary to Eric Bibb’s signature storytelling.

Produced by Grammy nominated producer Glen Scott, the new album showcases the blues legend exceptional songwriting and collaborative spirit.
‘One Mississippi’ follows an extraordinary period of prolific output and critical recognition for Eric Bibb. His 2023 album, Ridin’, earned a 2024 Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Blues Album and was celebrated by critics as “a bluesy, folky delight… packed with melodic jams and steeped in oak casks for decades.” Prior to that, Bibb released Dear America (2021), which was nominated for Blues Music Awards and recognized as “Album of the Year” by several leading roots publications.
His most recent album, In the Real World (2024), recorded at Peter Gabriel’s iconic Real World Studios and produced by Glen Scott, has been universally acclaimed. Rock and Blues Muse described it as “a deeply moving collection of blues and roots tracks soaked in wisdom,” while Glide Magazine called it “perhaps the most pristine production of any of his studio work.” Americana Highways praised Bibb’s “modern-day freshness” and “endless ingredients,” and Americana UK wrote: “a legendary figure of the blues, not content to rest on his reputation, but still exploring and growing.”
Bibb’s career spans five decades and includes three Grammy nominations and multiple Blues Music Award wins. As is always the way with Eric Bibb, he delivers truths with a gentle voice and surrounds himself with some of the best musicians around. He is regarded as one of the most respected voices in the modern roots world. With a unique blend of classic blues, contemporary soul, and Americana, the video This One Don’t” has been created by Jan Malmström to reflect the spirit and story of the album .
